How to apply

Admissions

One process across all five programmes. Each programme page links here and adds its own specifics.

The application process

  1. Explore the programme and check eligibility

    Review CGPA, work experience, degree, English, and any prerequisites on the programme page.

  2. Prepare your documents

    Use the standard checklist below, plus any programme-specific items.

  3. Submit the online application

    Pay the SGD 100 application fee (non-refundable).

  4. Assessment and interview

    Your application is assessed and, for some programmes, an interview is arranged.

  5. Offer decision

    Includes any scholarship outcome, typically within 4–6 weeks (rolling).

  6. Accept your offer

    Pay the SGD 5,000 enrolment deposit, which is credited to tuition.

  7. Pre-arrival

    Complete Student's Pass registration, housing, and orientation.

Standard document checklist

  • Completed online application
  • Bachelor's degree certificate and official transcripts
  • Current CV / résumé
  • Statement of purpose (500–800 words)
  • Two references (academic or professional)
  • English proficiency score (unless exempt — see below)
  • Passport biographical page
  • Application fee payment (SGD 100)
  • Programme-specific items (e.g. GMAT/GRE for the MBA; prerequisite-maths evidence for the MDSE)

English proficiency and exemptions

Applicants must meet the English requirement stated on their programme page. An applicant is exempt from submitting IELTS/TOEFL if their bachelor's degree was taught and assessed entirely in English, or if they are a citizen of one of the following countries:

  • Australia
  • Canada (outside Quebec)
  • Ireland
  • New Zealand
  • Singapore
  • United Kingdom
  • United States

Requirements by programme: IELTS 6.5 / TOEFL 90 for all programmes except the MBA, which requires IELTS 7.0 / TOEFL 100.

Grade equivalency guide

TU states minimum entry on a 4.0 CGPA scale. This guide maps common international systems to the 4.0 scale so applicants can reason consistently about whether they meet a programme's minimum CGPA.
